faithfulness

You know when you surrender something to the Lord and suddenly find yourself trying to pick it back up and take control on your own? I've been struggling with that lately. But I was reading about God's faithfulness again and was reminded that he does not need me, but he allows me to be used for his glory. He will always provide and eventually an answer will come- in his own time.

"But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one... May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ." 2 Thessalonians 3:3,5

"nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything." Acts 17:25

"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and feed on faithfulness... Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will act." Psalm 37:3,5

Thank the Lord I am not in control. That would be pretty awful. Thank God that he is.
